At our school, innovation thrives as we continuously develop new programs that build upon our successful existing activities. Each year brings exciting additions that enhance our students’ educational journey.
Archaeological Dig – Building on our popular tradition, we’re delighted to welcome back “Big Dog” (Geoff Purcell) to lead our Archaeological Dig program. Our Elementary students will once again participate in this immersive experience during Fall and Spring sessions. Students spend an entire week excavating artifacts carefully buried throughout designated areas of our campus grounds. This hands-on exploration helps them understand how archaeological discoveries connect to world history, making the past come alive through direct experience.
Computers and Engineering – Expanding our technology offerings, Upper Grade students will dive into computer programming classes this Fall under the guidance of Mr. Mike, a Harvard graduate specializing in computer science and engineering. As an exciting addition to this year’s curriculum, we’re also introducing 3D printing technology, giving students the tools to bring their digital creations into the physical world.
Art and Music – Creative expression remains central to our educational philosophy. We’ve enhanced our Upper Elementary and Middle School programs with woodworking and pottery classes, providing students with diverse artistic outlets that develop both technical skills and creative confidence.
Music continues as a cornerstone of our curriculum, particularly supporting our thriving theater program. Each year we license professional productions, and our students have delivered memorable performances of “Beauty and the Beast,” “Aladdin,” “The Wizard of Oz,” and “High School Musical Jr.” This year, our talented Music Instructor will introduce the ukulele, adding this versatile instrument to our growing musical repertoire.
Science and Engineering – Science education flourishes through our hands-on laboratory experiences that students absolutely love. This year marks a significant expansion as we add High School Chemistry and Physics to our curriculum, alongside a comprehensive Engineering program. We invite you to witness our distinctive hands-on learning approach in action.
Our new Engineering course represents a particular point of pride, designed for budding engineers who are ready to think creatively and push boundaries. Students learn to transform innovative ideas into reality using cutting-edge engineering techniques, fostering both critical thinking and practical problem-solving skills.
Come experience how we’re building tomorrow’s leaders through programs that evolve and grow with our students’ interests and the world’s changing needs.
